A129 Masterclass series: Respiratory update

Course summary

This  respiratory half day masterclass is designed to refresh the knowledge of clinicians who have attended previous education programmes on the management of confirmed asthma and COPD. It is not suitable as an introduction and is aimed at registered practitioners such as ANPs, Practice Nurses, Community Nurses or Allied Health Professionals.

Current national guidelines, international reports and publications frame the content which includes:

An overview of phenotypes in airways conditions.

An update on pharmacological and non-pharmacological management

An update on acute assessment and treatment of airways conditions in the community. 

The half day update will identify and signpost relevant assessment tools and condition support organisations and services as well as relevant lifestyle information to support a proactive approach to lung health.
